Sabbath's Peak

Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne peaked on this album. Yes they still had classic albums that came after this and the self titled first album is equally important. But if you were going to sum up Sabbath with one album it would clearly have to be Paranoid. Like always Eagle Rock delivers with their Classic Albums series and the one for Sabbath is no different. A great thing to see for any metal fan and a must own for any Sabbath fan.
Finished with my woman cause she couldn't help me with my mind...

Peace is in the Truth

In time this will be the story that's told: future generations will hold this as truth. The beautiful art Black Sabbath created is already timeless. True genius: modest, simple and honest. It comes from the heart; all of it. Indelible. You want the truth? It's been said if your play this album backwards at 45 you'll see God (some acid might encourage the meeting). Play it at normal speed forward and you might see yourself (best done without chemicals). Funny, but after all these years War Pigs would still be such a poignant and telling tribute to our culture. Society is still living in the dark ages. Technology is wonderful but all we're really accomplishing with it is our own destruction and the destruction of the planet. Could a group of musicians have a message for humankind? Indeed, listen, learn and most of all - do it loudly.

Timeless

Truly a story to be heard for any aspiring musician or fan... Paranoid is an album that will continue to influence bands into the future. Listening to its lyrics, one begins to wonder if Black Sabbath has seen the future. In this day in age, Black Sabbath is still mind-blowing and thought-provoking. The story of four guys who came from literally nothing only to become legends in their own time is remarkable. I have listened to Paranoid countless times and the simple riffs of Tony, Geezer, Bill and Ozzy have defined the beginnings of heavy metal.
