Customer Reviews

The Crux of the Biscuit.

The crux of the biscuit is that this is a great! Documentary! I am so glad to see some Zappa out in the digital world here, and available for watching! DIG IT!!!

Worth it

The content of the movie is great, especially archival footage from Apostrophe / Overnite Sensation sessions in the studio as well as live performances. Most of the interviews are great too, except Billy Bob Thorton's - first off his presence alone brings the quality of the film down one star in my opinion. Why is his interview the first? And why does he look so bored?! Everyone else in the movie has some connection - either they played with him, engineered him, transcribed his music, etc. Aside from the bizarre decision to include his interview in the film, the editing in general is quite poor. Yet still, its worth it if you dig Zappa.

PURE GENIUS

For anyone that is interested in Frank, this is a must watch video. Not only showing the creative genius that was Zappa, but it shows you the time and in depth look at his music. Highly recommended!
