Unique Band, Unique Recording
Interesting account of one of the most original recordings I have ever heard. Loved Roger and Brian's comments about their unusual recording techniques, what the songs were about and, of course, their anecdotes about Freddie Mercury and his amazing talents. Sometimes funny and sometimes sad...but a must for a real NATO or Queen fan.
Queen was an exiting and unbelievable band to see live
I will never forget the first time I ever took an interest in or even ever heard of a band named Queen. It was in Chicago in 1975 at a place called the Aragon Ball Room it was so unforgettable to me, I can remember it like it was yesterday. A lot of bands that were good in the studio were not so good in concert... either they themselves were to high to preform, or they just didn't act as tight and as professional as the band Queen. When Queen took the stage they meant business. They were going to entertain you Freddy Mercury was as good in the studio, as he was live even better live. Every song was so intense,so well written so exciting I'm so blessed to have been in the audience every time they played Chicago. Freddy was Freddy and people from all races, all beliefs all respected and loved him. A band like Queen only comes around once in a life time. Geniuses like Freddy Mercury are true gifts from God. They come blaze a trail and are gone and the world is a better place because of them.
The music lives on..
More than 3 decades after the release of this album, the effect it has on people is still strong. I was born under the "Britney Spears" generation but that didn't matter as soon as I heard this song. It's a great documentary on how the album came to life. It's a huge bonus that Brian and Roger are playing bits of the songs.
