Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: When Martin puts Clifford on a harrowing hyperspeed version of the Larry the Scary Rex ride, the special effects are impressive, but not worth waiting for. – Caryn James, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: Orion serves up another long-on-the-shelf turkey with this gimmicky, poorly conceived comedy. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: Remember when Martin Short was funny? – Desson Thomson, Washington Post, Jan 8, 2008

Rotten: Clifford is not bad on the acting, directing or even writing levels. It fails on a deeper level still, the level of the underlying conception. Something about the material itself is profoundly not funny. Irredeemably not funny. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, Jul 7, 2010

Customer Reviews

Can you look at me like a human boy?

Don't even consider if it is worthy of ten dollars. It is, the best movie ever. Do yourself a favor buy this movie and i'm positive you'll watch it again and again. Clifford is about the creepiest kid you'll ever see and you'll have a tough time finding a better movie.it simply is a classic.

Must have

If you have any sense of humor, even slightly enjoy Martin Short and can appreciate Charles Grodin's overacting you've gotta see this movie. That this movie has not achieved some sort of cult status at this point amazes me. Dabney Coleman has a small role in the movie as well...need I say more?

Martin Short is great

I haven't seen the version of this show that iTunes has made available, but as long as Martin Short's facial expressions remain unchanged it is definitely deserving of five stars. This movie is just as fun to quote as anything out there. "Shame on you Stephen, shame on your eyes!"
