Plot Summary

Based on an incredible true story, Coach Carter is the inspirational account of controversial basketball coach Ken Carter (Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson), who received both high praise and staunch criticism when he made national news for a gymnasium "lockout" of his entire undefeated team for poor academic performance. With the players, the parents, and the community rallying to get the team back on the court, Carter must overcome the obstacles of his environment and show the young men a future that stretches beyond gangs, drugs, prison and even basketball.

Great Movie

This movie is definently one of the best basketball movies of all time. It shows how one person unit a team and a school that is located in a very ghetto neighborhood. Most of the players have very bad backgrounds and basketball is pretty much all they have going for them. Coach Carter turns the athletes into men and changes the community. Its a very inspiring movie to everyone. Next time you think you have it bad watch this movie and be thankful for everything you have.
