Story”) and acclaimed writer-director Peter Bogdanovich (“The Last Picture Show”). A FilmBuff Presentation.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: "Cold Turkey" has some fine actors who put effort into their roles, but it's getting harder and harder to care about or laugh at adult characters who have botched up their affluent lives and are still obsessed with events from childhood. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Nov 21, 2013

Rotten: As a whole, Cold Turkey is too busy and offers no fresh insight on the inner hysteria of seemingly upright WASPs. The actors work hard, but their roles are mostly one-note. – Sam Weisberg, Village Voice, Nov 19, 2013

Rotten: Writer-director Will Slocombe presents a familiar buffet, but there's good stuff to pick over. – Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News, Nov 22, 2013

Rotten: [A] tiresome cavalcade of bickering - which feels like it lasts even longer than your typical Thanksgiving dinner. – Lou Lumenick, New York Post, Nov 22, 2013

All I could do was to check how much more of this "movie" was left. At the point when I was 3/4 into it I sadly realized it was not going to get better . Weak story , repetitious dialog , poor acting, boring boring did I mention boring!

Great for the Holidays

I really enjoyed this movie, and it's perfect for the holiday season! I love Cheryl Hines!!

Warms your heart

A family drama that I was able to relate to, hits home for the holiday season. As the film went on I was lead to think about my own family and the choices that we all make in life. Bogdanovich and Hines are realistic and human, perfect for Thanksgiving.
