Plot Summary
To some, comic books are a hobby, but for Raymond McGillicuddy and Norman Link, they are a way of life. Both men own comic book stores in the same sleepy town, and both are after the hottest ticket in town - a rare collection of old comic books - potentially worth millions to the right dealer. However, when the elderly owner won't sell, it becomes a madcap free-for-all with friend turning against friend in a battle for the loot. As the stakes get higher, their antics take a dark turn, and begin spiraling into a dangerous game of greed, betrayal and murder.

Truly horrible
It’s funny, as a writer for DC Comics James Robinson wrote some truly great stories, including the entire run of the Starman series in the 90’s which is considered by some to be the best comic book ever (go and get the graphic novels!). Ironically, as a film-maker, he made the WORST film about, or involving comics. Comic Book Villains was vile in the sense that it was mean spirited, completely unfunny and a total waste of time.
Now I know why I had never heard of it.
I like comic books to this day, so naturally I enjoy comic movies or movies/shows that reference some authentic geekiness and witty humor. Not here. Maybe I'm too critical, but I thought alot of the acting was poor, and I fell asleep twice trying to finish. It seemed fun.
that looks
horrible
