Plot Summary

After a much–publicized departure from hosting NBC’s “Tonight Show,” Conan O’Brien hit the road with a 32-city music-and-comedy show. The “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour” was O’Brien’s answer to a contractual stipulation that banned his appearance on television, radio and the internet for six months following his last show. Filmmaker Rodman Flender’s resulting documentary, CONAN O’BRIEN CAN’T STOP, is an intimate portrait of an artist trained in improvisation, captured at the most improvisational time of his career.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: If "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop" is consistently watchable, it isn't especially funny, nor does it give any deeper insight into its star than you might get from seeing his late-night shows. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, Jun 23, 2011

Fresh: The film, like the tour, will satisfy the Conan cravings of hardcore fans the most, and prove an enjoyable enough diversion for the rest. – Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times, Jun 23, 2011

Fresh: Just as he promised, amazing things happen. – Ian Buckwalter, NPR, Jun 27, 2011

Rotten: Full of unenlightening snippets and blithe but banal asides, what the movie is missing is edge. – Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2011

Hilarious and fascinating !

This is definitely NOT boring. It's fascinating to see what happened behind the scenes with the whole NBC departure, and I laughed a lot. If you're a fan of Conan you won't be disappointed.

$7 to rent, really??

I'm a fan of Conan, but this is way over-priced for a rental, ANY rental. Even big Hollywood movies are, at most, $5 bucks to rent in HD. $10 to buy makes more sense to me. Producers Rachel Grffin & Gavin Polone need to be less greedy

Fantastic, Inspiring! Not made for the Braindead.

Can't Stop is NOT STAND UP.
It is a brilliant documentary about the struggles and triumph of a very famous, beloved performer at the most difficult point in his career.
Can't Stop is a beautiful, rare, and raw look at another human being's life. Conan allows us into HIS LIFE: his wife, his children, his crew, his anger, his joys! It's unprecedented. And it is at the toughest point in his career. His struggles and frustration are out in the public domain. His amazing, life-changing experience is as interesting as any film I've seen. It is difficult for me to imagine anyone with a bit of humanity and a brain wouldn't find this amazing and feel a huge amount of compassion for this man.
Conan emerges stronger than ever. We love you Conan!
