Plot Summary

The Lewiston / Clarkston valley has a rich history. It is here, at the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake Rivers, where Lewis and Clark camped on their westward journey over two hundred years ago. Residents boast that the valley is the gateway to Hells Canyon, that Lewiston was Idaho's first capital. However, the valley also has a much darker past, one that many know about, but few publicly acknowledge. From 1979 to 1982, five people disappeared. Only three of the bodies have ever been found. All share one suspect.

Customer Reviews

Interesting, unfulfilling

I came to this movie via the soundtrack, which I stumbled upon, purchased, and rather enjoy. Hard to give a review of this film without feeling like I'm giving it all away. I guess the best analogy is that of a puzzle without all of the pieces. The story is intriguing, the film is well put together, the main figures offer some interesting perspectives on loss 30-years on. Having said that, when all is said and done it's hard not to feel the story is terribly incomplete...unresolved...through no failing of the film makers, but maybe that's the point. On a side note: I don't consider myself to be one to "fret" about pricing on such things, but $3.99 for a documentary that clocks in at well under 1 hour does seem a bit much.
