Plot Summary
True love leads to the joy of marriage where two become one sharing all that comes with life and more…But what happens when you realize that the woman you are madly in love with has very different ideas about your future than you do and the prospect of becoming one is a lot harder than you think? Jim (NCIS’ Brian Dietzen) proposes to the love of his life, Bridget (Abby Miller) on a weekend trip to see his mother (That 70’s Show’s Debra Jo Rupp) and miraculously, she says no. When they return home, however, everyone thinks that they are, of course, engaged and they are forced to deal with who they are as individuals and as a couple as they attempt to navigate what it really means to be in a relationship. It's real life
It's nice to see a film that's not the usual "romance". Sometimes your life can just go backwards, not at all like you planned. This is a story that's totally believable. I really enjoyed it!
Real drama! Not a fairy tale movie!
Brian Dietzen , currently known for his role on NCIS, Mr. Palmer , delivered a superb intense performance as we discover he is in a relationship in turmoil. He and his girlfriend take off to visit "Jimmy's" mother ......this road trip has some humorous , serious and thought provoking scenes....they are on their way to visit his mother's house......he asks the girl of his dreams to marry him..her answer sends his life into a tailspin!
His mother is under the impression that her son is engaged...when they both arrive ......she does what most mothers would do....a welcome that is filled with love.. and celebration......but soon all of this turns completely upside down!
Great film. Filled with real life situations....drama and comedy...mixed just perfect together! Dietzen delivers a powerful performance ....a must see!
Looks good!
This movie looks good. But when I see Brian playing this character it feels weird . All I see is Palmer! Haha
