Plot Summary

On December 25, 1985, suburban husband and father Gord Cooper (Jason Jones of TV's THE DAILY SHOW, ALL ABOUT STEVE) accepted a “barely used” VHS video camera from a creepy neighbor (Dave Foley of TV's THE KIDS IN THE HALL) to settle a $2,000 debt. Gord then gave the camera to his family as their Christmas gift. This lewd, rude and hilarious saga of crappy presents, mean grandmas, drunk uncles, and sluttish cousins is the hilarious result of this gift.

Now let me start with this movie being great. It is funny from the beginning all the way to the credit screen. The movie is from a low budget cut but you forget about quality in this movie, since you will probably be on the ground through most of the movie. 5/5 well worth the cash. So if you want a laugh to get you in the holiday mood even after the Christmas holiday's you will enjoy this tale of hate, love, family, explosions and uncle Nicks jack Daniels/sled rally get this movie. Don't Watch With Your Wife!

I laughed like Hell at this movie. It takes place in 1985 and having lived through the 80's I remember the decade well. This is raunchy, lower middle class stuff. But it really was well done and the conception of using the home movie approach was very novel, as they used it for the entire film. I don't think this really crossed the line to being really gross, though it did thread the needle a few times.

The wife did not feel the same as me, and I got a lot of grief for renting it on Xmas Eve. ;)

It is definitely something for Man Cave viewing.
