Plot Summary
In order for big-city doctor Evan Gibbs to get the job of a lifetime— the workaholic single parent must spend his summer in the mountains of North Carolina setting up a clinic. Arriving in Dunn’s Rock with his 10 year-old son, the doctor discovers what is most important to him and learns to enjoy the simple things in life. Country Remedy is an award-winning uplifting story of the healing power of family and community.

Family Friendly Movie that deals with real life issues!
A big city doctor who is forced to learn "what really matters" in life by experiencing a summer in a very small community. Shows how people all around us are important, and how we need one another! It is when we get disconnected from personal interaction with other people, by lack of time or by technology, that our lives get separated and lonely. We need to know that others genuinely care for us... We also need to help and encourage others. This film has some potentially disturbing events portrayed, so it might upset young kids. Parents should watch this with their children, and be prepared to explain the childbirth, death, and asthma attack events contained in the movie. Real life problems are not sugar-coated by this film, but are thoughtfully dealt with.
Heartwarming
This is a lovely family film.
