Plot Summary
CRACKS, the dazzling debut film from Jordan Scott (daughter of legendary director Ridley Scott), stars Eva Green as Miss G, a glamorous force in an idyllic British boarding school. The school's most elite clique, led by Di (Juno Temple), rule the school and compete for the attention of Miss G, who thrives on the girls' fascination and eggs them on with lessons in a scandalously liberated world view. But, when a beautiful Spanish girl, Fiamma (Maria Valverde), appears at the school, the girls are immediately threatened by the outsider's perfect allure. Even Miss G, who loved being the most glamorous presence in her girls' lives, becomes obsessed with, threatened and tantalized by Fiamma.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: In many ways "Cracks" is lurid and rickety. But its gripping ensemble performances lend it an emotional intensity that outweighs its shortcomings.
Rotten: The pieces never form a convincing, or coherent, whole.
Rotten: All of which is heavy-breathing fun until an ill-judged lapse into Lord of the Flies territory and a Jean Rhys-ian climax all but bury the message about the evils of repression.
Fresh: Worth seeing just to watch Ms. Green ride that teacher right off the rails.

Fine Acting by a Young Cast
I'm more than a little confused by the low Tomatometer rating. I found the story compelling, the photography superb, and the acting was near perfection. Jordan Scott does an excellent job directing and there are surely some rising superstars among its young cast. Don't believe the boo-birds of the Tomatometer. This is a good movie.
Captivating
I thought this movie was wonderful. From the first few minutes til the very end it kept my full attention. Great group of beautiful young actors and Eva is captivating! A definite must see....although I would say this is a chick flick.
Great Story, Beautiful film
The story definitely held my attention and the acting was superb but even if it hadn't the cinematography alone was worth the price of the rental.
