Plot Summary

An ex-Navy seal (Mehcad Brooks), his girlfriend (Serinda Swan) and their friends head out on a road trip to New Orleans. The group decides to stop at a roadside convenience store owned by Chopper (Sid Haig), who tells them the tale of Lockjaw, a fabled god-like creature who is half-man, half-alligator. As they set-up camp for the night, their faith is put to the test when Lockjaw turns out to be more than just a myth and they realize the locals are hiding a horrifying secret that jeopardizes them all.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Doesn't throw in the kind of wit that can turn a formulaic creature feature into a pleasant diversion along the lines of "Lake Placid." – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Sep 10, 2011

Rotten: Deep in the swampy hearts and minds of some filmmakers, embarrassing stereotypes still fester, gathering moss and slime. – Ethan Gilsdorf, Boston Globe, Sep 10, 2011

Rotten: There is a perverse enjoyment to be had from something this cheesy, although not enough of one that I can recommend sitting through it. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Sep 9, 2011

Rotten: It is in no way a great movie. But it is a great reminder of what used to be so much fun about bad movies. – Stephen Whitty, Newark Star-Ledger, Sep 9, 2011

A FILM SO BAD, IT'S GOOD!

After renting the terrible, god-awful movie simply known as "Creature", I can't say that I wasn't entertained. Yes, it contains horrible acting, lazy storytelling and some of the worst "special effects" ever featured in any horror film, but what else can you expect from a flick with a budget of less than $1 million? Still, if you full-heartedly enjoy watching unintentionally hilarious Z-grade movies, then you probably won't be disappointed with this giant stinker. Pee-yew! I can still smell the stench from here. LOL!

A Film so bad, it's just bad!

Nothing good about this movie. Save your money and buy something useful, like a pair of scissors.

Where can I find that song?!?

Where can I find that song exactly? Is it a remix?
