Simple but so much more effective….
"Crowsnest" was not a disappointing random find. If you are a fan of this type of horror, or even if you like the kind of horror that is scary because its very much possible for this to happen in real life… then I'm sure you'll appreciate this film.
The story is simple. Some friends out on a trip get tormented by some men before they even make it to their destination. The group of friends are trying to survive the unexpected horror. The acting was A++ and believable (for the most part). Simple right?
If you want tensions with fear and horror, this film has it. A few very brutal deaths, some realistically scary chase scenes (both in vehicles and on foot through the forests and such) makes this movie scary and worth watching.
I recently watched V/H/S, and honestly, I liked this one much more than that. But, that's not to say that VHS was terrible. It just wasn't consistently good throughout its five different documented stories.
This movie is definitely one of the better films of this type.
Decent
This film was kind of typical and takes on the whole found footage, shaky video cam in the woods sort of thing but it w fun to watch. The acting is questionable in quite a few places and the overall production was fair. There were also quite a few things that take place where you look at the tv and say "did they really just do that? Now they deserve to die." all in all this is not a bad film and it's worth watching once if you like horror films. I would go against purchasing this but you may feel differently. Enjoy!
