Plot Summary
In this thriller, things are looking up for stand up comedian Joey Frisk. His foul mouthed act has drawn interest from people in high places. Then he tells one little gag about an old school friend, who just happens to be in the audience, and things begin to unravel.

Powerful, Great Film
I wasn't expecting such a heavy, moving film. Strong performances from all of the actors, especially the lead, the Scottish guy from Rushmore. The film is a great character study and has an excellent modern day tragedy feel to it. The dialogue was sharp, witty, and despite the content material, often comedic at times. If you're looking for a film unlike you're mainstream commercial stuff with a hint of European flavor, I HIGHLY recommend checking out Crying with Laughter.
Really really good.
I saw a small clip of this movie at SXSW this week, and immediately rented the movie. It is great. Good dialog. Great story. The improvised nature of the comedy club scenes really works to add tension. If I had to pick one thing to say negative, I would say part of the end is a little abrupt, but its a small point.
Blew Me Away
This movie is unbelievable. I'll admit it - I'm a lonely loser who passes the time by watching movies. This may be the BEST drama I have ever seen. MAKE time to watch this. I'm going to buy it. Yes, it's that good.
