AMAZING
so, i didnt buy this from i-tunes but i borrowed it from a friend and let me say FINALLY A MOVIE BASED ON A GAME THATS HARDCORE !!! considering halo legends was crap i thought this would be better AND I WAS RIGHT !!! the movie is based off of game not book so dont be astounded by gore and stuff and if u have the game and didnt like it dont bother ! the movie basically tells the story of the game in an hour and a half but it was an hour and a half of pure enjoyment considering i loved the book, but beware LOTS OF NUDITY/ SADISTIC VIOLENCE and other wierd stuff however it wasnt scary or anything. all in all i say rent, only because i know some people get a little squeamish at violence and if you like it BUY IT !!!
Nice animation, poor script
I didn't purchase this movie b/c I LOVE the original work. That would be stupid. You can't make Dante's Inferno into a motion picture, anime, etc... It was about a man looking back at his life, mistakes and journey. Today I believe we call it a mid-life crisis. To keep things short:
This has AMAZING animation, but be aware that it changes every "Circle of Hell". I was caught off guard b/c some reoccurring characters did NOT look the same.
The voice work is, also, AMAZING. Be warned that the script is poorly written, but that does not take aware from the actors who portrayed the characters.
The script is actually so poorly written that it makes this movie not worth the $15 to buy it. There are very convenient means of transportation throughout the movie. This happens about three times... Uncalled for.
Also, the thing that bothers me the most (other than the dialogue) about the whole movie is that Lucifer (aka the Devil, aka Satan, aka etc...) wants Beatrice (Dante's love) to be his wife in hell. Why would Lucifer want to marry anyone??! Marriage is holy. Why would God's opposite want to follow one of God's rules? This makes no sense and in my opinion was the final nail in the coffin.
Do yourself a favor and wait until it drops in price. I wouldn't have a problem with this product if it was only $5. The art is well worth that.
interesting
