Had potential to be great

There is an interesting story here and the concept of the mirror faced killer is intriguing. A lot of blue screen work must have been employed here as the characters look as if they have been inserted into a video game cityscape most of the time (think Steampunk meets Sin City). Vidocq is The French version of a super sleuth, he is no Sherlock Holmes, but he is resourceful nonetheless. This was an entertaining movie, but it seems like some elements may have been literally lost in translation. I originally saw parts of this on French television and it seems like there may be some missing scenes. Still it was something different and refreshing.
