Plot Summary

Imagine waking up alone in a cold abandoned prison with no idea how you wound up there...or why. Now, imagine that your horror is just beginning. Shawn Storer (The Time Traveler's Wife) and Sarah Jackson (Deal or No Deal, Rescue Me) star in this bloody, bizarre tale of torture, murder and the will to survive - no matter how unlikely it might seem. You'll hold your breath as the terror unfolds in this "genuinely unsettling thriller" (The Record) whose darkness offers no reprieve.

Movie is deeper than it looks

If you rent this one-- you have to be prepared for a cerebral movie. Don't expect your standard Action/Monster/Horror fest. The cut-scene style of this movie will be confusing at first-- but bear with it. This movie is a Thinking movie-- where you have to put the peices of a fragmented puzzle together. Who are the Victims? Where are they? Why are they there? What do they have to do to get out? This isn't an Action movie, it's a Mystery puzzle story that requires thought on the viewer's part. Everything is not what it seems. The end has a Twist that will be totally at odds with what the viewer would have progressively assumed-- and this is a deftly intentional twist. More importantly, the End will give you MORE questions that you will have to go back and figure the possible answers to. And the Ending IS Tied to the Title. Pay attention.

Scifi Channel Type movie

This movie was terrible. The acting was cheesy, the makeup and effects were lame. I thought because it got 2 good reviews that on the whole it wouldn't be bad...I was terribly mistaken. If you like the made for Scifi channel movies then you'll enjoy this, otherwise be ready for disapointment. This is definately not worth renting for $3.99.

Dark Reprieve

I had seen this movie at a friend's house and didn't know anything about it as he started it as I walked in. I was a bit confused at the beginning, but in a good way as I kind of liked the mystery of the whole story. It kept moving around and revealing stuff to me as I continued to watch it. There were a few moments where I was completely confused, but it all paid off nicely at the end and I actually really enjoyed it once everything had been revealed. I actually wanted to go back and watch it again to see all the clues that I was trying to fit together and see if it all matched up to what happens at the end. This is a low budget film, but I was in the mood for something completely different than all that spam studio stuff that's fed to us all the time. Overall I found it a good film that guys and girls will enjoy watching together.
