Plot Summary
When Day, a sunny fellow, encounters Night, a stranger of distinctly darker moods, sparks fly! Day and Night are frightened and suspicious of each other at first, and quickly get off on the wrong foot. But as they discover each other's unique qualities–and come to realize that each of them offers a different window onto the same world–the friendship helps both to gain a new perspective.

Wow!
I saw Day & Night before Toy Story 3 the other day, and it quickly became on of my favorite movies. It was original, funny, and, frankly, the best short I have ever seen. I think that it was fantastic and wish it well at the Oscars because I think it should be a contender.

The best of both worlds. Love it!
This short film is Pixar ingenuity at its best. A mix of hand-drawn and CGI, this short is a tribute to two differing media in a world dominated by CGI films. The story line, as with all Pixar films is clever and heart-warming. If you have a chance to see it stereoscopically (i.e. in 3D), that extra depth all the more emphasizes the brilliance of the melding of the two mediums.
