Touching, quirky film
I was a Kickstarter backer and am so glad I supported this film. I highly recommend it. Dead Dad tells a touching story with lovable, realistic, relatable characters. Each scene was acted and filmed with tangible care — the filmmakers’ and actors’ personal connection to the story and film make the subject matter seem all the more raw and real.
A solid piece of work, well-performed
Full disclosure: I found this film because I know somebody who worked on it. I'm happy to report that I was not disappointed in the least by the final product. This is a solid first feature by Ken J. Adachi with fine performances by the three leads. Yes, there are some cliche youth-angst montages and the script would have been helped by a bit more plot content, but overall I was engaged and feel that it was 90 minutes very well spent. Recommended!
Wonderful
