Plot Summary
For the crew of the USG Ishimura, this is how the horror begins: On a deep space mining mission to a remote planet, an ancient religious relic – thought to be proof of the existence of God – is unearthed and brought aboard. It is worshipped by some, scorned by others. But when the unholy artifact unleashes a long-dormant alien race, its glimpse of Heaven transforms the ship into a living Hell. The chaos is immediate. The carnage is uncontrollable. And an onslaught unlike anything ever witnessed by mankind has now been set free to rip this world apart.

Amazing, gorey, suspenceful, but....
Alright, if anyone like anime, horror, and suspence, and want a fusion of all of those, then you have dead space! The storyline is amazing, the art is great, but mabey not for those 'die-hard' fans of the ps3/xbox360/pc Dead Space by EA. I have to admit, the Dead Space game on gaming consoles was beutiful, and defenitly one of the best horror games out thier.... and defenitly not for the feint of heart, but if you play the game, and then watch the movie, you will notice MANY MAJOR DIFFERENCES... one.) the characters are completely different (duh), theres no Isaac Clarke or Kendra like in the game... and two.) instead of the 'necromorphs' being attracted to the "the marker" like in the game, they are repelled by it in the movie... The storylines are tottaly different, but for those able to addapt from one to the other, its well worth it.
and btw, i didnt even mention the new 'Dead Space: Extraction' coming out on the wii... i have no idea what its gonna be like, lol
Nice movie, great backstory heavy on the gore though
This is pretty good as far as anime goes. I'm not a anime fan to begin with but as a fan of dead space I had to check this out. I don't think this is worth $15 but rent it if you haven't seen it. But be warned: this is a extremely violent and graphic movie just like the game.
Genius.
This movie is simply amazing. One of the best movies I've ever seen. It gives you a true sense of hysteria and chaos in a new perspective.
