Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: [Derailed has] a ludicrous script whose twists and turns are laughably obvious or just plain laughable.
Rotten: Like a runaway train, the movie hurtles over the tracks so fast, you can barely keep up with the incongruities.
Rotten: Someone had to work extra hard to make a movie this bad with two likeable leads like Mr. Owen and Ms. Aniston. I can't figure out why.
Rotten: Derailed is a choo-choo bound for oblivion - - and making no stops for plausibility along the way.

Great thriller with an unexpected twist
**No Spoilers Review**
This movie is highly underated and didn't get enough publicity. It starts off like a somewhat dark romance, a married business executive meets an attractive business woman on a Chicago train line. Soon an affair ensues both cheating on their spouses but an unexpected event takes both of their lives into twisted directions. Lowering your guard then turns into a fast paced thrill ride that always keeps you guessing what's going to happen next. The acting of Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston is superb and the chemistry between them only adds to the suspense. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and even though one scene is somewhat disturbing it's necessary to stir emotions and get connected to the characters, please stick through because the end is rewarding. Don't miss out on one of the best twists and thriller in recent years.
Clever drama with a surprising twist..
This is a highly underrated film with a dark side that, in my opinion, was quite cleverly concealed. At first glance one might expect a frothy romantic bauble of a movie with a little infidelity followed by some drama when the spouses find out, etc, etc.. but one would be incorrect. This movie even got me to hide my eyes and cover my ears a few times.
Enough violence and enough intrigue to hold the interest of the discerning viewer but by no means is this some deep, mind-bending film. It does what it was intended to do and simply entertains. Clive Owen certainly does not disappoint and for those who are familiar with Aniston as the 'rom-com queen' or as Rachel Green, don't expect to see either of those ladies in this film. She's a straight bee-yotch in this movie LOL. My advice to anyone who has not yet seen it is to watch it and make up your own mind. Don't pay attention to the critics or even to these reviews. Check it out (you're only losing an hour and some change) and make your own informed decision.
AWESOME!!
It is a very exciting, and intense movie. Jennifer Aniston is great, and so is Clive Owen. The story line is so good, and the acting is amazing!! <3
