Better the Devil You Know...
This film -- which I read about because it's Jennifer Lawrence's "missing movie" -- apparently sat on the shelf for a few years, but one wonders why. Sure, the script has some plot holes, but the direction, cinematography and performances made this an effective and moody little thriller. And, yeah, it was a trip seeing Jennifer Lawrence in full-on Lolita mode.
waste of time
Do not rent this film. It has some really over the top acting and dreadful dialogue. Note to the editor: If the viewer can see the boom mike in the mirror the scene should be reshot.
Really Bad
Proabaly the worst movie I've ever paid for. Seriously, Jennifer Lawrence appears briefly (maybe 1 minute total time) in a few flash back scenes and says nothing. Badly acted, poorly photographed and the sound guy managed to capture the clip clop of people walking in and out of a room but not much else. How does stuff like this get financed? It gets one star because its in color.
