Plot Summary
During a routine Spanish Fly-smuggling trip to Mexico, two friends stumble upon an out-of-the-way gentlemen’s club with no cover charge and plenty of sexy, friendly ladies. But what feels like lap dance heaven is actually a recruiting station for an army of the flesh-eating undead. Now a drug-dealing film geek (Devon Sawa of FINAL DESTINATION), a trigger-happy assassin, a samurai demon hunter, and an airhead cocktail waitress must battle ferocious hordes of gut-ripping strippers whose pimp-daddy is Satan himself.

It's not horrible!
I'll start this off by stating I'm a big Devon Sawa fan. He's basically the only reason I even watched the movie. Though he's always delivered great performances in the movies he's chosen, I wasn't really expecting much from the movie itself. I was pleased to be proven wrong. Though the plot is not extremely inventive and some of the script is hokey, the four main characters do the best with what they're given. There is a fair amount of gore while the ladies dine on the unsuspecting patrons, so those who like blood and guts shouldn't be let down.
What I really liked best overall (and I may be a bit bias) was the comedic performance that Devon gave as Quinn. Right from the go, you get that Quinn is a smarta** who really has no direction in life but isn't a horrible guy. During the evening, of course, he gets the wake up call he's needed and begins to realize he needs to grow up. The revelation does nothing to make the fact that he's more afraid of squirrels than the ghouls any less hilarious (no worries, Devon pulls this off without it seeming pathetic).
Mitch Gould did a good job with writing Kelly Hu's character. I was quite surprised when I found out what her role in the movie was all about and didn't see it coming. Some may find issues with it, but I liked the little twist.
Ken Foree is a bad a** like he is in most of his films. I've no complaint with his performance or character. He's been doing this for a while and he plays the part well.
Would I recommend this movie for everyone? No. If you're a Sawa fan, you'll most likely enjoy it for his performance alone (though I really feel like he's made it hard to top his performances in Idle Hands and Final Destination). If in doubt, rent it first and then you'll only be out $2.99!
