Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Movies like Diner -- fresh, well-acted and energetic American movies by new directors with the courage of their convictions -- are an endangered species.
Fresh: The film is wonderfully cast and played.
Fresh: Diner is often a very funny movie, although I laughed most freely not at the sexual pranks but at the movie's accurate ear, as it reproduced dialogue with great comic accuracy.
Fresh: Levinson's dialogue feels fresh and improvised, yet it hits its mark every time, and the performances he gets are complex and original.

Diner
I saw this movie years ago and forgot how good it really was. I rented this movie and I wish itunes gave you the option to buy it after you have rented it so that you don't have to pay a rental charge and the full price to buy it.
DINER IS A CLASSIC
One of the best buddy films ever made. It launched the careers of Mickey Rourke, Kevin Bacon and others. Its a well written little movie that didnt have alot of commercial success when it opened, but much critical acclaim. If you love witty dialog, interesting developed characters, and 50's rock and roll..you will LOVE Diner!
"Wanna keep driving?" "Nah. We better call it a night."
I love this film. It reflected my life with my friends in and after high school. We quoted it. It is a wonderful film on multiple levels, and has stood up incredible well on multiple viewing at different stages of maturity.
The soundtrack introduced me to many artists and still gets played.
