Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: When you pack your movie with performers like Mr. Church, Ms. Leo, Mr. Rebhorn and Keith David (as Dona(TM)s old friend), all with faces and deliveries that can slide easily between comedy and menace, youa(TM)re holding a full house. – Manohla Dargis, New York Times, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: Writer-director Jake Goldberger's mild riff on Double Indemnity, etc., works best as a showcase for its veteran cast. – Rob Nelson, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: A strange, largely inert indie thriller. – Michelle Orange, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: An admirable attempt even if the film only works spottily. – David Germain, Associated Press, Jun 24, 2010

Surprise ending!

Not a blockbuster. Murders & gallows humor, but thankfully no gratuitous gore Well worth .99 if only for the fun of guessing who is conning who. Felt like a piece of writing that needed one more rewrite; could've been great with a tad more work.

Poor

I was unable to last even 30 minutes. Bizarre movie that has awful characters doing nothing and taking a long time about it. It was going nowhere and could not even interest me enough to fast forward to the end to see what happened. I do not care what happened at the end because I did not care for what was happening at the beginning.
