Double the king!

I love this movie! It made me laugh and was great! If your a big Elvis fan, you'll love this! Even if you're not, it still is a great movie!

Elvis is in more than double trouble with this boring movie

Although this movie (Elvis' 24th) tries to pull away a little from the typical vehicle of the 60ies (being a race driver, chasing girls, beaches etc.), it doesn't really work. They send Elvis to "mod" Europe but it's obvious that everything has been shot on the MGM studio lot in Hollywood. The soundtrack is sub-par to awful, with his version of "Old MacDonald" performed on a rack body truck marking the bottom of his singing and acting career. The story itself isn't all that bad and the thriller elements could have worked if Norman Taurog had just decided to take it all a little bit more seriously. Instead he opted for silliness. Elvis seems bored out of his mind most of the time and even The Wiere Brothers couldn't change that. His female co-star, Annette Day, is so boring she never appeared on screen again after this. Elvis gave her a Ford Mustang for her birthday anyway. So, while Elvis is killing a gangster with his bare hands it's actually the poor production, the lame soundtrack and an uninspired cast that kills nothing but your time while you're watching this. The only reason to do so is sexy Yvonne Romain. If you want to enjoy an Elvis movie, go for G. I. Blues, Girl Happy or Blue Hawaii (if you're into postcard-musicals) instead.

Double Trouble

This is a fun Elvis movie. Elvis is in good form as appears to be into this movie. He has a lot of dry humor. He is funny without trying. If you like Elvis, Double Trouble will not disappoint.
