Plot Summary
A human story about a socially responsible company, Dr. Bronner's Soapbox documents the complicated history and inspiring family legacy of eccentric soapmaker and counterculture hero, Dr. Emmanuel Bronner. In 1947, after escaping an insane asylum, he invented the formula for 'Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap' - a peppermint-infused, all-natural, multi-purpose liquid that can be found in every American health food store. On each bottle of his soap, he printed an ever-evolving set of teachings he called 'The Moral ABC,' designed, in his words, 'To Unite All Mankind Free!'

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: What emerges is a complex portrait of a man who cares more for humanity than for his own children, often left to languish in orphanages while their father scoured bodies and minds.
Fresh: It's like Capturing the Friedmans scrubbed to a happy ending.
Fresh: Tyro helmer Sara Lamm satisfyingly stitches together the family soap opera into a comfortable crazy quilt without sacrificing its unique, oddly topical edge.
Fresh: A bittersweet story of a family and the surprising effects a crusading eccentric can have on them.
Customer Reviews
Dr. Bronner's Magic Soapbox
Not only is the movie good and informative but the soap is pure. no harmful additives. Their best selling one is the peppermint. And it doesn’t dry out your skin like regular store soaps with chemicals.
