Complicating her quest is a Chantry Templar, Cairn, whose goals seemingly rival her own. Well done
Well it's obvious, no one has seen it, is it a B movie, you bet! Not all B movies are bad and in the end I do think Felicia Day is a great actress, I love all the stuff she does, so I look forward to it. Pre-ordered done. Being a huge fan of the gaming series it was a win win for me. I am looking at this release as I would say other video game to movie adaptations, should be good, won't make me go oohhh aawww with special effects (thou the trailer they did look pretty good) , alas I think it will be a fun watch and good to own. Dungeons and Dragons movies where well, not so great (just see the reviews) but you know, for simple "I want a fantasy RPG fix without actually doing anything" these movies fill those needs easily :) So I do look forward to this title. I will have a real review once the movie is released.
Edit : Follow up,.
Well after seeing the movie finally, I have to admit, very well done and it was what I thought it would be as mentioned previously. The price is right, descent acting, good plot, nice information and awsome action. There are "moments" where that "B" rating shines threw, no doubt about it. The kid mage, (well lets just say I wasn't impressed by the acting at points, he needs to grow some into acting, was "ok" thou) but the rest really felt like they where their characters. The special effects are on and off, one point, right on the next off a bit, but nothing that really goes "EEK, that was bad". The plot was a standard plot for the fantasy affair but the interaction between characters really made the movie. I recommend it very much so, for those that enjoy fantasy, Felcia Day (awsome job as usual) and the Dragon Age world, it's worth every dollar. You can tell Felica had more interaction with the development of this movie as her style of writing and production is right there. I think if they do another, emphising her character more directly into the darker world of assasination etc would really work well. I could see her playing a role in such an affair admist a large city setting. Worth the view for sure.
Well done overall for what it is,
A fan.
P.S. Costumes love them, they where square on ! and bravo to the directing, cast & crew.
You do realize...
The quality is excellent for the budget that they ere on considering this was originally a web mini-series. Felicia Day knows her fandom of Dragon Age and works well within it. Yes, it's short, but it's not meant to be a full length movie and still his it's excellent little touches of humor while the cast does a great job of pulling off their characters.
People have spent $10 on far worse things where this at least has quality and heart.
Great Web Saga now compiled in one streamlined viewing experience
I watched Dragon Age Redemption as it was released online, waiting anxiously for the next chapter after each episode. I'm glad to now be able to own all six episodes in one streamline video. This has some of the best SPX I've seen for a free web saga, the acting is great, and I loved the way they incorporated so much of the feel and history of the game. I'd recommend this to fans of the game or anyone who enjoys a straight froward high fantasy.
