Plot Summary
A young couple traveling a lonely stretch of Las Vegas highway discover that they're not alone on the road in director James Lay's dark sci-fi thriller. Megan and Dylan were somewhere between Vegas and Reno when they decided to stop at a roadside restaurant to fill their empty stomachs and rest their weary eyes. Upon discovering that the notorious Area 51 is just a few short miles away, the curious travelers quickly get back behind the wheel in hopes that the shroud of midnight will give them the opportunity to get a glimpse of the top-secret military instillation. Strange things have been known to occur on this radiation-poisoned stretch road that runs through a former nuclear testing ground, though, and soon after an unsettling speech by Adolf Hitler takes over the couple's car radio, the entire vehicle suddenly dies. When a mysterious visitor from another time seems to materialize in the rear window before their very eyes, Megan and Dylan flee the car only to find that, in the unforgiving darkness of the desert, their strange journey has just begin.

Rotten: Despite some sketchy story elements, much of it is pretty intoxicating -- that is, until the unambiguous life lessons bring pic down to earth with an earnest splat.
Fresh: An atmospheric ensemble piece boasting several richly portrayed characters.
Fresh: The filmmakers were clearly not interested in the ending but in exploring the characters and the situation, and they do that with sophistication and genuine feeling, both for the people and the environment.

Rubbish Trailer
OK - so the trailer for this movie doesn't tell/show you anything about this movie. Who would pay to download it when you can't tell what its about?
Dreamland
Seriously bad. Even if you cannot resist the characters "sci-fi" whenever you see them like I cannot, stay away from this one. It is pathetic.
Worse than "Moon 44" (if you can believe that)
15 years ago I watched the second worst movie of all time, "Moon 44". Now, after all this time, I finally have a new "winner". This movie had terrible acting, and the characters blundered from one scene to the next, showing no signs of development. The only reason we watched until the end was because a minor character, the restaurant proprietor, held our interest.
