Plot Summary
"Earthlings" is an award-winning documentary film about the suffering of animals for food, fashion, pets, entertainment and medical research. Considered the most persuasive documentary ever made, "Earthlings" is nicknamed “the Vegan maker” for its sensitive footage shot at animal shelters, pet stores, puppy mills, factory farms, slaughterhouses, the leather and fur trades, sporting events, circuses and research labs. The film is narrated by Academy Award® nominee Joaquin Phoenix and features music by platinum-selling recording artist Moby. NOT an easy movie to watch, but an important one...
It is hard to imagine anyone watching this movie and not having some sort of emotional response. It WILL affect you in some way. For me, many of the images are forever etched in my mind. I was already vegetarian when I watched this movie for the first time, but after about 40 minutes I KNEW I would be going Vegan. I watch this movie at least once a year (although I very rarely make it through in one sitting). It just reinforces for me all the life changing decisions I have made. I was never and will never be more affected by a movie. And it doesn't get easier with repeat viewings. I shake with anger, fear, desperation, empathy, sadness. I cry harder and longer than any other time. I find myself questioning the society we live in. Questioning humanity. Questioning myself, my family, my friends. People NEED to see this movie to understand the impact it can have on your life. I truly believe most people ARE good, they just don't know what it happening in the world. I sure didn't. This movie changed my life.
Earthlings
This documentary is amazing. It will take you through all the ways that humans use animals in a factual way, and it leaves it up to you to decide if you agree with this or not. I highly recommend this movie for everyone to see. It shows us the truth and everyone should know the truth.
Amazing!
This is a very motivational movie. I think that everyone needs to watch it! It really shows you how bad the human race is, and how bad animals are treated. This isn't all gore like "Meet your Meat." We really need to get this out to the public. It is horrible what animals go through everyday. I have seen many animal rights videos and, this is, by far, the most well-done.
