Plot Summary
An unusually principled young Viking (former Monty Python member Terry Jones) becomes increasingly uncomfortable with all the killing and plundering that goes with the job, and sets out on a magical journey in order to bring about world peace.

Fresh: Doesn't measure up to the best of the Python films, but it consistently entertains through the occasional gags that do not work and dialogue that is sometimes obscured by sound effects.
Fresh: The idea of telling the story of a Viking warrior who thought there must be more to life than rape and pillage is an amusing one, and for the most part Erik the Viking is an enjoyable film.
Rotten: A stillborn comedy in which minutes sometimes mysteriously go by between even attempted gags, and in which virtually no comic scene works up to any kind of viable punch line or payoff.
Rotten: An utterly worthless exercise in waste and wretched excess, uninformed by the slightest spark of humor, wit or coherence.

I would spend 9.99 on this movie...i've loved it for years its not super easy to find...I'll take it.
Get it while you can!
I saw this when it was $9.99 and I thought to myself, why would I pay $9.99 for this?! And then as I am checking the $0.99 rentals as I normally do, I saw that it was on sale for $4.99. No brainer. Get it while you can!!
