Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A Cinderella without mice as coachmen, in other words, had better have a mighty fine excuse for tampering with a successful formula. Against many odds, Ever After comes up with a good one. – Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: The script by Susannah Grant, Rick Parks and director Andy Tennant successfully maintains the story's period trappings while introducing a heroine with modern resonance. – Leonard Klady, Variety, Aug 16, 2010

A strong and independent Cinderella story

What I like about this movie is that Cinderella is depicted as woman of character, strength, grace and beauty that even the Prince cannot resist her charms. This Cinderella story is all about being independent, smart and having inner strength--she even saved the Prince at one point of the movie. I would choose to show this movie to my future daughters rather than the simpering versions like the one from Disney (Sorry but singing "Someday my Prince will come" doesn't really show strength of character).

A new take on an old classic.

This movie is for all the true romantics with a love for fairytales. I love how it takes a classic fairytale and turns it into what the real life story could have been.

Love this movie

Finally itunes put this movie on. I love this story line, sure it's based on Cinderella, but this movie is a version of Cinderella for adults. Great story line. Definately worth the money.
