Plot Summary
A World War II sergeant is shipwrecked on a remote beach in Borneo where he deserts the Army. He is captured by a tribe of headhunters and is forced to fight to the death which earns him the title of 'King'. His life is ideal until the British secure the island as a stronghold from the Japanese. The war destroys the life he fought so hard to obtain.

Generally a good movie overall
Nick Nolte plays a deserter turned jungle King very convincingly. He was much better suited to this role than many he's played. It's visually stunning and easy to follow. Not the greatest writing, but it's enough to recommend.
