Plot Summary
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez lead a cast of returning all-stars as the global blockbuster franchise built on speed delivers the biggest adrenaline rush yet in this explosive extended version. Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled drivers, whose mastermind (Luke Evans) is aided by the love Dom (Diesel) thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal mercenaries from stealing a top secret weapon is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks for the help of Dom and his elite team. Payment for the ultimate chase? Full pardons for all of them and a chance to make their families whole again.

Fresh: A satisfying thrill ride, at least on a par with the earlier installments.

Even Faster and More Furious Than the Last Film!
The "Fast & Furious" franchise has always been a personal favorite of mine. Sure, as a whole, they're fairly easy to pass off as mindless action films for filmgoers who want a good rush of big-budget Hollywood action, but I've mostly seen them as more of a chugging train of car movies that simply get better with each new installment, and that's no exception with "Fast & Furious 6," which I'd probably say is the best addition to the series so far. I don't think I've been this thoroughly entertained by an action sequel in a while. The car chases and stunts are bigger, wilder, and more over-the-top than ever before, the characters' previously limited personalities continue to grow quite impressively, and the story manages to be both awesomely ridiculous and surprisingly engaging from start to finish (even though we all know which side is gonna come out victorious in the end). And I should also probably mention that the finale to this flick is not one to be missed. So all in all, I think it's safe to say that "Fast & Furious 6" stands as the icing on the cake of a truly unstoppable franchise. Aside from a few convoluted plot devices here and there, I can't think of any reasons why this amazing piece of action-packed adrenaline isn't worth anyone's time. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, and everyone else in the cast deliver great performances that suit their roles perfectly, and the awesomely catchy soundtrack only pumps up the intensity of the outrageous racing sequences. There was rarely a single moment where the film didn't have me on the edge of my seat, and for that, I have to give it a solid grade. If this is the best sequel in this saga, who knows what the seventh flick will have in store? Hopefully, it'll expand upon the winning formula we've all come to enjoy!
THE FRANCHISE THAT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER!
Perhaps the most impressive thing about the sixth entry into the long-running "Fast & Furious" saga is that it's both more gleefully preposterous and indulgently self-important than ever before, which is no easy feat. The cast and crew clearly went for something bigger, crazier, and more explosive here, but by removing their tongues from their cheeks, they usually leave us laughing at them rather than with them. Even so, the adrenaline-fueled action sequences are as visually breathtaking as they are consistently enjoyable to watch, and surprisingly enough, the story isn't half-bad either. It picks up right where the last one left ended: Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker) have taken the fortune they grabbed in Rio and have started an idyllic life in the Canary Islands. Brian and Mia (Jordana Brewster), Dom's sister, even have a cute baby of their own. But then U.S. Agent Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) appears, asking for their help in capturing the villainous Shaw (Luke Evans), who is collecting all sorts of military gadgets for an evil purpose of some kind. And they agree to go along with the secret mission because Dom's presumed-dead girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) is actually working with Shaw. So they reassemble the team (Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Elsa Pataky, and the newest member, Gina Carano) and get started in London. Yes, this chapter primarily takes place in Europe, which gives the filmmakers a ton of all-new landmarks to race past in their elaborately orchestrated chase sequences, throwing cars like toys at every glass window in near sight. The first nighttime set piece in London is a bit incoherent (and overly nonsensical), but things get much better from there, with a whizzy scene of competitive driving between Dom and Letty and a few other great showdowns before the action moves to Spain for a couple of massive, absolutely astonishing chase sequences that would boggle the mind if we thought for a second that they were even marginally possible. Still, the best thing about this flick is the character interaction, even with actors whose roles are this limited. Letty's amnesia adds an interesting soapy twist to the plot that forces Dom to constantly try to remind her why she loves him. Brian's fatherhood also lets Walker do a bit of enjoyably self-serious acting of his own. Otherwise, Gibson and Bridges are left with the snappy comedic relief, while Carano, Gadot, and Pataky merely get to look feisty and hot in their action scenes (but at least they do a great job at it). As for Johnson, he gives an unusually deadpan performance this time around, with only just a few outrageous outbursts of manly banter here and there. Nonetheless, the cast here is consistently entertaining, with the screenplay letting everyone get a chance to shine, even if some of them aren't quite as memorable as others. But any slight issues this movie suffers from are almost entirely forgotten thanks to its hilariously absurd plot, wonderfully charismatic characters, and superbly over-the-top action set pieces. There's even a surprise ending, so it's that much more of a fun ride. So overall, while "Fast & Furious 6" may not exactly reach the same insane and delirious heights as its predecessor, it still knows how to charm and entertain its core audience, delivering even more exhilarating (and physically impossible) automotive stunts, crashes, and chases than ever before. Personally speaking, this is easily one of the best installments in the entire franchise to date, and it only makes me all the more excited for the inevitable Part 7. Let's hope they recapture that fun balancing act that has made this one of the most improbably successful action sagas in recent memory. If you're a fan of the series and haven't seen this movie yet, do it now. You definitely won't be disappointed!
SIXTH TIME'S STILL A CHARM
Not as great as Fast 5, but Furious 6 is definitely a nice follow up for the series. It's action packed, it's hilarious & it's got lots of surprises & twists throughout. I mean this has got to be the only movie franchise where even after six movies their actually getting better and not worse. One of the best movies I've seen so far this year! This movie also has probably the most shocking ending in the entire series. Overall I loved it and if your a fan of the other movies then you'll like this one as well. Fast & the Furious 7 can not come fast enough!!!
