Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Film Geek has a likable premise and a pleasantly homemade indie feel. Unfortunately, its lead character is so irritating you want to get away from him. – Dana Stevens, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Fresh: Perceptively hilarious. – Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly, Sep 7, 2011

Fresh: As played by Melik Malkasian with Pee-Wee Herman-y chirpiness, you feel for him as you would any out-of-it sibling who seems beyond help. – Jan Stuart, Newsday, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: The film looks like it cost 10 cents, but a lot of the jokes are gold. Hollywood, take notice of writer-director James Westby. – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Jun 24, 2010

Good times! It’s simple, yet entertaining, with funny characters and snappy dialogue.

Ugh bom bom boooommmm

Well they say that every director has a dozen or so bad movies in them - so it's good to get them out of your system early on. In that regard, it is an accomplishment. I give it all of 3 stars as I myself have yet to do better.
