WHOA!
Ok folks, hold on here. I been in wildland fire for over 15 years, fought fires in 29 states to include Alaska and Hawaii. I've jumped, heli-repelled, did helitack and been on 6 different shot crews and through all this I have never done, seen or even heard of anything as far fetched as the stuff going on in this movie. Don't get me wrong, it's very entertaining, kinda humorous and for the non-fire audience maybe even a little exciting. All in all a good movie but, don't go running off to join a wildland fire crew if you think this is what really happens. I do like the part about the pocket sized chainsaw though, LOL.
Ahh
Howie try's but the movie sends a good message and its cool to see people jump out of planes to fight a fire after what happened in Arizona we should be thankful if these men July 1 2013 19 smoke jumpers died when the fire surrounded them may we thank our fallen men
