Plot Summary
David Freeman (Joey Cramer) is an ordinary boy destined for a most extraordinary adventure – aboard a spectacular, futuristic spacecraft. After a mystifying disappearance, David returns– possessing vast, undiscovered knowledge about the farthest reaches of the universe. With these sudden navigational powers, David is able to take the fantastic flying machine anywhere he desires, accompanied by both its wisecracking robotic commander, Max, and an assortment of bizarre extraterrestrial creatures! Embark on a fun-filled, fast-paced journey of fantasy and adventure as David takes off on the flight of a lifetime! Also featuring Sarah Jessica Parker and the voice of Paul Reubens.

Fresh: This is a film with its head in the clouds, its feet on the ground and -- just often enough -- its heart on its sleeve, in which space-age special effects take second place to family emotions.
Rotten: Instead of creating an eye-opening panorama, Flight of the Navigator looks through the small end of the telescope. Life on Earth is magnified but without an expansive vision.
Fresh: Whereas its plot may be derivative--and at several junctures, unconvincing--"Flight of the Navigator" nevertheless manages to develop considerable humor and poignancy from David's predicament and what he does about it.
Fresh: When the film shifts into the action mode in its second half -- the flying saucer returns to aid in David`s rescue -- it becomes quite bright and lively.

I get all nostalgic just thinking about this movie. This is and always has been my favorite movie of all time. Ever since I first watched it as a kid, I have absolutely LOVED this movie. It has a great plot, great characters, humor, suspense, and even the music is fantastic. "I get around" by The Beach Boys is my favorite oldies song because of this movie! Also, if you like adventure, this movie takes the cake. It has superior aerial camera shots that move very fast across the land and great sky views. This is a movie that I will have absolutely no problem buying if it becomes available to purchase.
Also, I should note that the movie trailer that they used does NOT give this film any justice. It just shows the beginning part of this movie, and has absolutely nothing to do with the plot or adventures that are to come. The movie is way better than it appears from the trailer, so don't judge it solely by the trailer.
Please let me buy this!
Come on iTunes get with the program! Stop putting good classics like this on rent! Let me buy!
