Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The jamming together of so much history and melodrama makes for a handsome movie that is only rarely gripping.
Rotten: Despite enough good intentions to pave a four-lane highway, the ardently sincere but dramatically unfocused For Greater Glory plays like a multipart miniseries that has been hacked down to feature length.
Rotten: Ultimately a stodgy, overblown and repetitive slog.
Rotten: This historical drama about the little-known Cristero War in 1920s Mexico is more educational than involving.

Blessed Film!
This film can be interpreted as a modern view of the fight for religious freedom. As the Mexican government tried to outlaw "Catholicism" in the 1920s, the church militant fought back. This is their story. Very good film.
A Must See for all Believers!
It is a catholic-faith based movie, but gives all denominations a great message ;-)
Outstanding Film!
This film should be watched not only by Catholics but also anyone who wants to see an outstanding movie with truly superb acting and excitement. The attention to detail and the true events which inspired this film have been brought together for an enjoyment that the whole family can see. I just wish I could give it ten stars but iTunes only goes to five. This film is Oscar material.
