Plot Summary
A fortune cookie writer (Kelvin Yu) accidentally sends a love letter meant for his ex-girlfriend (Jessica Skerritt) out into the world as chinese cookie fortunes, leading the city's lonely hearts to converge on his romantic rendezvous. It doesn't take him long to nearly ruin his father's (Gedde Watanabe - Sixteen Candles, Mulan, Gung-Ho) fortune cookie business as his love letter gets mixed up with his fortunes, and every cookie at every restaurant reveals a piece of Arthur's broken heart. A hysterical and heart-warming romantic comedy.

I predict great things...
Fortune Hunters is a wonderful short film about the mundane and fantastic experience of life, love and working for your dad (who someday expects you to run his fortune cookie factory). You know how it is. The performances by Watanabe, Yu and Skerritt are worthy of a feature length film and elevates the quality of this well written film. Harp and Standish deserve every accolade given to them for this gem. Own it now!

I originally saw this film at the Seattle International Film Festival, and I must say, it was probably the most enjoyable short I have ever seen! It definitely deserves to be made into a feature length film because it has huge potential.
