Plot Summary

Rotten: The movie is less ho-ho-ho than uh-oh, or oh-no.
Rotten: As derivative and predictable as any of the holiday comedies of the past few years, providing audiences with at best a handful of laughs. Most of it is uninspired.
Rotten: A complete bust, derivative and uninspired, boring and dull, not funny, not moving and about a half hour too long.
Rotten: The satire on globalism and downsizing is also as old as the Clinton administration, but that doesn't stop director David Dobkin from selling it like fresh goods.

Wow this movie surprised me...
I am not a person who likes PG movies. But this movie had a lot more to it than any trailer or rating can say. Its a very adult movie...this is not a kids movie. This also proves that Vince Vaughn can still bring his comedy role into a movie without any of his usual backup actors. Its a great movie and I suggest you rent/buy it.
Great Holiday Movie!
This is a really funny movie that's perfect for anyone to watch. I would reccomend it for a family to watch one night in winter. We went to see it in theaters and for weeks afterward, we were constantly quoting lines from the movie and acting out scenes. This movie is great because it's a modern, hilarious twist on the classic story of Santa Claus: move over, Santa; Fred's in charge now!
