Plot Summary

They thought Jason was dead. They thought he was gone for good. But it turns out, they’re all wrong…dead wrong! Homicidal maniac Jason returns from the grave to cause more bloody mayhem in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning. Young Tommy Jarvis may have escaped from Crystal Lake, but he’s still haunted by the gruesome events that happened there. When gory murders start happening at the secluded halfway house for troubled teens where he now lives, it seems like his nightmarish nemesis, Jason Voorhees, is back for more sadistic slaughters. But as things spiral out of control and the body count rises, Tommy begins to wonder if he’s become the killer he fears most. Witness the true terror as Jason and Tommy battle once more in this spine-tingling descent into death and madness!

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The tone is crude, raunchy, and leering, with kill scenes combined with more nudity than usual. – Jeremiah Kipp, Slant Magazine, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: The spiciest entry in the series, it boasts the most T&A, an incredible double homicide, a witty reference to A Place in the Sun, and yokels chopping chickens. – Ed Gonzalez, Slant Magazine, Jul 13, 2014
