Plot Summary

Welcome back to Crystal Lake in a chilling re-imagining of the classic horror film "Friday the 13th." Searching for his missing sister, Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki) heads up to the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake, where he stumbles on the creaky remains of rotting old cabins behind moss-covered trees. And that's not the only thing lying in wait under the brush. Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has in the search for his missing sister, Whitney (Amanda Righetti), with the help of Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. But they are all about to find much more than they bargained for. Little do they know, they've entered the domain of one of the most terrifying specters in American film history--the infamous killer who haunts Crystal Lake, armed with a razor-sharp machete... Jason Voorhees.

Slash Michael Bay Films

Michael Bay is a femine hygiene product. They haven't been able to make a good original slasher film or character in 30 years, which is why the are resurrecting Friday the 13th and worst, they think they can do a better job than the original... but do YOU see the folly in that? If they can't make an original, how on earth can be better than the original. This whole generation and lifestyle (formally known as a culture) is nothing but regurgitated artifacts from the past and Michael Bay is opportunistic tracer. You want the violins, the real jason, the real 70's style gore... then forget this remake and go see the original masterpiece.

Not All That Great

I saw this movie because:
A) The original was amazing
B) I love Jared Padalecki

I was highly disappointed. This movie was terrible. It was a tad raunchy, over-acted in everyone's part except Padalecki and Danielle Panabaker. The horror was unrealistic and seemed very fake. It wasn't scary either. I turned it on expecting to be so freaked out I couldn't move. Boy was I wrong. I'm so bored of this movie, I'm reviewing while watching it.

My advice: don't waste your cash.

OUCH!!!!!!!

I can't think what was worse, Rob Zombie's Halloween or this film disguised as newer, hipper, Friday the 13th. This movie was so painful and a slap in the face to any of the films in the series (and the majority of the latter films were brutal) I was hoping Jason would stop by my house and put me out of my misery. Giving this movie 1 star is overly generous.
