Plot Summary

From the same crew who brought us the effect-juiced GAMERA: GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE now comes an even more CGI-enhanced adventure for our tortugan hero. A freak meteor shower near Sapporo, Japan brings with it more than just a killer light show. Electrical problems, over-grown plant life and a whole slew of rather irritable critters also drop in to threaten the human race. Local science instructor Midori Honami (Miki Mizuno) is called to assist the brave Colonel Watarase (Toshiyuki Nagashima) in the military's oft-confused attempts to save mankind. They must find a way to successfully combine efforts with their reptilian protector, or both will face ultimate destruction from the Earth's bugged-out invaders. Join the battle as Gamera and his bipedal pals work to repel the Attack of Legion!

A great sequel to a great film

Gamera returns in this sequel to the awesome Gamera: Guardian of the Universe and this time he fights an original monster called Legion, a giant bug from outerspace. If you claim to like kaiju films, then check this one out.

YES YES YES!!!

This is my second favorite kaiju film and mostly because the enemy of Gamera is a badaz and Gamera takes the worst beating ive seen him take. The weapons these beasts whip out is so freaking awsome, I have never seen a godzilla movie do the cool things these monsters do to each other. I love the reoccuring characters and the continued connection with the big turtle and his girl. One scene is an aliens style rip off and didnt seem appropriate near the end. Great story, great monsters and great battles. The CG was rough with the crawling legion attack on Gamera but its easy to brush off. The payoff is the giant legion battle at the end. This is the second in the 90s Gamera lineup and it seems with each movie they just surpass the previous film. All three films blow the godzilla series away in my opinion. These are true kaiju film gems that are in the tradition of the early kaiju movies with an updated feel. I cant believe I forget there is a guy in thse suits hahaha. I cannot get over the assault Legion throws on Gamera and the new innovative weapons they use. Visually powerful. I could feel Gams pain. Thanks itunes.
