Plot Summary
Snacking, napping, fighting aliens – it's all in a day's work for Garfield! One minute, Garfield and his pals are having a cookout, the next, they're engaged in a super battle with a sinister alien and her army of zombies! When an evil comic book demoness tries to make everyone in Cartoon World her slaves, all the comic strip characters become superheroes in order to thwart her. Well, all except Garfield, who thinks being a superhero sounds like too much work! But when he sees all his friends in trouble, the fat cat might have to rise to the occasion!

From the book of the same name
The book was amazing, one of my favorites as a child almost 15 years ago, so my expectations were high. Though the movie did -not- exceed said expectations, it was still riveting and fun-filled. A great movie that kids would love, it was built for such an audience and puts out accordingly. For those who love Garfield from the old days and have actually read the book, this movie is a pretty good adaptation (with some exceptions left out, such as Compooky and the K-Niner) and I recommend it for future prospective audiences, child and oldschool adults alike.
A Decent Film but Not a Keeper
Our kids enjoyed the movie, but it's just not on the same level as many animated films. This is a battle between good and evil, and it's creative in that. At times I wished the language would have been a bit less harsh for a little ones ears! I think most young kids will enjoy the movie, but in my opinon it is not much more than an extended Saturday morning cartoon.
