Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: The film feels like a throwback, but it's at least a useful introduction to the subject. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Nov 14, 2013

Fresh: The idea here isn't to titillate with tawdry teen hormones, but to offer an outlet for all that mental distress young people take on while trying to find their place in the world. – Peter Debruge, Variety, Mar 26, 2014

Fresh: When it comes to constructive gay-themed material aimed at teens, perhaps half a loaf remains better than none. – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Nov 21, 2013

Rotten: "Geography Club" almost makes up in good intentions what it lacks in technique and execution. – Bill Goodykoontz, Arizona Republic, Nov 14, 2013

Awesome..

Best movie

Hopefully

I wish the movie was more like the book, but I still loved it. Hopefully they make the other books in the series into movies.

Honest and touching…well done

It is another coming of age story but as more effort is put into the production values, we end up with better quality movies. The book is wonderful and directed at a teen audience. This must be taken into account. It’s age appropriate for them and sends a wonderful message. I really hope that the other books in the series get a chance to be made.
