Plot Summary

Mel Gibson plays Driver, a cunning, irreverent lifetime criminal who finds himself in a high-speed car chase with the US Border Patrol Police. With a bleeding body in his back seat, millions in the trunk, he crashes through the border to escape. He survives, only to be placed inside one of Mexico’s most hard-core prisons, “El Pueblito.” When he enters this new strange and dangerous world, he finds unlikely survival guidance from a 10-year old kid who shows him the ropes. Together they devise a plan to take the law into their own hands and ignite a high-stakes thrill ride that will turn this south of the border “vacation” into a legendary showdown.

Customer Reviews

Mel Gibson is still the man

Pretty baller movie, with good action and, as always, good acting from Mr. Gibson himself.
The story is also one you don't see too often, so it's refreshing to see a change among the monotonous action movies.

Great Movie! Mel Gibson is back!

Classic Mel, in a modern action movie with all the good writing of his best films. Original story, plenty of action, a real escape for an hour and a half. Easily one of Mel Gibson's better films, and a great time!

Good old Mel

First time Im writing a review, this is one good movie! Mel deserves to get credit for this one. The kid in the movie also has presence. Original story also, a bit slow at times but worth it.
