Plot Summary

"Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal is the story of how bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus and others pioneered a new form of heavy metal in the early 1980's. This new music was called ""thrash metal"" and many of the bands went from playing friend's parties and small clubs to headlining arenas. Along the way, there were drugs, drinking, fights, death, mosh pits, leather jackets, long hair and most of all - groundbreaking new music. The seeds these bands planted gave rise to the new breed of extreme heavy metal music we see and hear today.

love this movie

goes really in depth of my favorite genre of music ever as paul baloff once said "metal rules if you dont like it die"

Great Movie

If you're a thrashhead, get it!

Anyone know the name of the song at the end as the credits roll? Shazam can't find it.

Not the FULL Story

They covered a lot of important topics like the Dress Code, Bands, the LA scene, etc. However, I did not like how they did not spend so much time on particular bands, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Pantera did not get so much respect in a way in this film. They only talk about the bands debut and sophmore albums. They never talked about the effects that Rust In Peace, Regin In Blood, Ride the Lighting, Master of Puppets, and Far Beyond Driven had on the genre. The film was long, but at the same time it was too short. I reconmend renting it first before buying.
