Plot Summary
After becoming infatuated with a beautiful New York go-go dancer, college boy Doc devises a plan to get close to his crush by asking him to be the main subject in a makeshift documentary. Camera in hand, Doc befriends the hunky Go while following him across the city into bars, onto rooftops and dance floors, and, ultimately, his bedroom. But as they grow closer, flirtation blurs the line between subject and filmmaker and Doc is confronted with more than he could ever have imagined. “Getting Go: The Go Doc Project” explores the thrill and danger of getting exactly what you wished for.

While dozens of romantic comedies and some dramas produced by big studios try to portrait the impact of technology in the interpersonal and sexual relations of their characters with mixed results, Getting Go organically integrates the many components of the digital world – social networks, smartphones, photo and video software, documentation and sharing culture – in its history and format. It also captures the dynamics of the quintessential relationship between two young modern gay men.
Amazing
Loved this movie, Well worth a watch.. A great story with amazing actors.. I really enjoyed this film.. The story allows us to see things from another prespective of love.. So very well done!
Charming Movie
An obsessive Internet porn guy discovers a cute go-go boy online and wants to meet him. He’s a student finishing up his degree, and decides to do a documentary about go-go boys, using his discovery as a subject. He borrows a camera to use (in addition to his iPhone) and meets up with the cutie, who turns out to be sensitive, smart, and sexy. The movie turns on their growing relationship and how it affects them both.
I wasn’t happy with the ending, but at least it was realistic. A very enjoyable movie.
